Face Masks Of Oatmeal:

Here are few simple ways in which you can prepare face masks using oatmeal and apply them regularly on your face:

Deep Cleansing Face Mask:

Mix 1 tablespoon of finely grounded oatmeal with 1 tablespoon of live organic yogurt and 1 small spoon of honey. Just beat the mixture until it becomes consistent enough to spread all over. If you warm the honey it will give more consistency to the mixture. Apply the mixture on a clean face and leave it on for  10- 15 minutes. Then wash it off with warm water and see the results.

Honey And Oatmeal Face Mask:

Mix 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon instant oatmeal. Blend all these ingredients to make them consistent. Apply the mixture to  your face and leave it on for a few minutes. Rinse it off with luke warm water.

Oatmeal And Egg White Mask:

Mix oatmeal with one  egg white. Blend well and then apply to your face. Leave it on until it dries, which should take about 15  15 minutes. Then wash it off with warm water.

Scrubs
Oat flour can be used in face and body scrubs to buff your face for a clean, soft finish. Here’s a few real easy ones:

Mild face scrub
Mix 1 part oatmeal flour with 1 part carrier oil (such as olive), wash off with warm water. Finish with some oat milk toner.

Oatmeal body scrub
Mix equal parts of olive oil and sugar with a bit of a carrier oil. Use as a body scrub instead of soap, wash with warm water. You’ll probably not need to moisturize after using this scrub.

Dry shampoo
If you have blonde hair, ground oats is a fantastic dry shampoo. Just rub some over your scalp, and brush excess oats out with a boar bristle brush.

Oat bran bath
Put about 1 dl (0.5 cup) of oat groans or rolled oats in some cloth and tie it up to make a small bag. Put this in your bath tub or in your foot bath. Press the bag a bit until the oatmeal “milk” comes out. You can also use this bag instead of soap on your body or face. It will give a light scrubbing and cleanse your skin and pores.

I  know this looks like a Thanksgiving pie recipe at first glance, but we promise this yummy beauty recipe feeds your face, not your mouth. The pumpkin and cinnamon invigorate and exfoliate, while the honey acts as a humectant. First, combine all of your primary ingredients in a small bowl. Then, if you wish, add heavy whipping cream, cranberry juice, or apple cider vinegar depending on your complexion. Blend the mixture gently, and then apply a thin layer of it onto your face, avoiding the eye area. Relax for 15 minutes as you enjoy the amazing aroma wafting from your skin. Wash off with lukewarm water and pat dry.

Pureed Pumpkin Scrub

1/4 cup cooked pumpkin puree
1/4 cup brown sugar

The enzymes in this simple and delicious sugar scrub will slough dead winter skin off your body. Combine your ingredients in a small bowl, and then apply the mixture to your body in the shower. Scrub your skin gently in circular motions, and rinse off with warm water.

Pumpkin Pedicure

1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1 raw egg
1/2 tsp raw honey
Plastic wrap

Soften dry, cracked feet with this natural enzymatic concoction. Mix the ingredients together in a small bowl and apply to clean feet. Wrap your feet with clear plastic wrap and let your tootsies marinate for 15 minutes (don’t forget to wrap in between your toes!). After time is up, rinse with lukewarm water and slather feet with your favorite foot cream.

Pumpkin Body Scrub:

1/2 Cup- Cooked Pumpkin
1/2 Cup- Brown Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon- Cinnamon

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and stir. It’s a good idea to lay out some newspapers on your bathroom floor because this could get messy. Take your mixture and massage into your skin for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and your skin will be exfoliated, healthy and glowing!

3 Tablespoons of cooked or canned Pumpkin
1 Teaspoon of Honey
1/4 Teaspoon of Milk

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and massage into your face. Let sit for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Wash your face with your normal cleanser, if needed.

Water: A Natural Moisturizer

Yay, October is finally here! My favorite month of the year! Halloween is like my Christmas, we celebrate 3 birthdays during the month, lots of family gatherings, and the weather finally gets a bit cooler. New Month, New Intentions

new month quotesToday is the last day of September. With October starting tomorrow, I always look at the beginning of a new month as a new start. Think of some things you would like to do better, more of, or change this October. Here are a few things I want to try and be better at this month. Happy October to you and yours.

1. Appreciate Life: Be thankful that you woke up alive each morning. Develop a childlike sense of wonder towards life. Focus on the beauty of every living thing. Make the most of each day. Don’t take anything for granted. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

2. Choose Friends: Wisely Surround yourself with happy, positive people who share your values and goals. Friends that have the same ethics as you will encourage you to achieve your dreams. They help you to feel good about yourself. They are there to lend a helping hand when needed.

3. Be Considerate: Accept others for who they are as well as where they are in life. Respect them for who they are. Touch them with a kind and generous spirit. Help when you are able, without trying to change the other person. Try to brighten the day of everyone you come into contact with.

4. Learn Continuously: Keep up to date with the latest news regarding your career and hobbies. Try new and daring things that has sparked your interest – such as dancing, skiing, surfing or even sky-diving.

5. Creative Problem Solving: Don’t wallow in self-pity. As soon as you face a challenge get busy finding a solution. Don’t let the set backs affect your mood, instead see each new obstacle you face as an opportunity to make a positive change. Learn to trust your gut instincts – it’s almost always right.

6. Do What They Love: Some statistics show that 80% of people dislike their jobs! No wonder there’s so many unhappy people running around. We spend a great deal of our life working. Choose a career that you enjoy – the extra money of a job you detest isn’t worth it. Make time to enjoy your hobbies and pursue special interests.

7. Enjoy Life: Take the time to see the beauty around you. There’s more to life than october quoteswork. 10. Gratitude: Develop an attitude of gratitude. Count your blessings; All of them – even the things that seem trivial. Be grateful for your home, your work and most importantly your family and friends. Take the time to tell them that you are happy they are in your life.

11. Invest in Relationships: Always make sure your loved ones know you love them even in times of conflict. Nurture and grow your relationships with your family and friends by making the time to spend with them. Don’t break your promises to them. Be supportive.

12. Keep Their Word: Honesty is the best policy. Every action and decision you make should be based on honesty. Be honest with yourself and with your loved ones.

13. Meditate: Meditation gives your very active brain a rest. When it’s rested you will have more energy and function at a higher level. Types of meditation include yoga, hypnosis, relaxation tapes, affirmations, visualization or just sitting in complete silence. Find something you enjoy and make the time to practice daily.

14. Mind Their Own Business: Concentrate on creating your life the way you want it. Take care of you and your family. Don’t get overly concerned with what other people are doing or saying. Don’t get caught up with gossip or name calling. Don’t judge. Everyone has a right to live their own life the way they want to – including you.

17. Persistence: Never give up. Face each new challenge with the attitude that it will bring you one step closer to your goal. You will never fail, as long as you never give up. Focus on what you want, learn the required skills, make a plan to succeed and take action. We are always happiest while pursuing something of value to us.

18. Be Proactive: Accept what can not be changed. Happy people don’t waste energy on circumstances beyond their control. Accept your limitations as a human being. Determine how you can take control by creating the outcome you desire – rather than waiting to respond.

19. Self Care: Take care of your mind, body and health. Get regular medical check ups. Eat healthy and work out. Get plenty of rest. Drink lots of water. Exercise your mind by continually energizing it with interesting and exciting challenges.

20. Self Confidence: Don’t try to be someone that you’re not. After all no one likes a phony. Determine who you are in the inside – your own personal likes and dislikes. Be confident in who you are. Do the best you can and don’t second guess yourself.

21. Take Responsibility: Happy people know and understand that they are 100% responsible for their life. They take responsibility for their moods, attitude, thoughts, feelings, actions and words. They are the first to admit when they’ve made a mistake. Begin today by taking responsibility for your happiness. Work on developing these habits as you own. The more you incorporate the above habits into your daily lifestyle – the happier you will be.

Glacial Mud Masque

My lavender vanilla facial has been a hit this summer; being that its meant for all skin types, women, men, and teens have come in for one. All the products used in this treatment are wonderful; however, the main “skin changer” is the masque. I’m actually thinking of keeping it in my treatments for a while.
