1. Take a Head Bath (Shampoo): Most of us, especially women, do not go for a head bath everyday. It’s summer time and the sun is all ready to destroy your scalp, thus making it itchy and dry. So, it is important that you take a head bath everyday to keep your scalp fresh and clean.

2. Wash Your Feet: You cannot possibly take more than 2 baths in a day. So, what do you do when you feel uncomfortably hot? Wash your feet at every opportunity that you get. It helps release body heat. It is an ancient cultural practice to put water on your feet first. This practice has been seconded by scientific researches.

3. Cooling Spots: The spot behind your neck (joining the head to the shoulder), is the cooling spot of your body. If you drip some cold water on this spot after a hot day’s work, it cools your body immediately. You will feel a hot rush leave your ears releasing the pent up heat in the body.

4. Mud Packs: The three tricks mentioned above are short cuts to get immediate relief from summer heat. Mud packs are a great way to combat the rising mercury levels. The bonus here is that you get long term relief from acne and painful heat boils as well. Fuller’s earth or multani mitti (Fuller’s earth) has the most noticeable cooling effect on the skin. You can go for face packs or whole body mud wraps, depending on your convenience.

5. Sun Protection: Sunscreen lotions have the worst effect on body heat. It is usually oily and clogs your skin pores. As you cannot sweat it out, your body temperature rises. Try using natural sunscreens to avoid this problem.

6. Remove Sun Tan With Chillers: Rose water and sandalwood paste are two natural ingredients that remove sun tan. They also have a chilling effect on your body. Mix sandalwood powder with rose water and apply this summer face pack to get a glowing skin.

7. Eat Cool Stuff: During summers, you must try and keep yourself cool from within. Eat fruits and vegetables that have a cooling effect on your body, like cucumber and yogurt. You can also eat foods that have a very high water content, like watermelon.Do not forget to drink water. Stinky Feet Home Remedies

Here are some of the natural remedies which can be followed to get rid of smelly feet.
White Vinegar:
It is very helpful in treating your smelly feet as it disinfects the feet by deodorizing it. Take some amount of white vinegar and dilute in a warm water solution. Now place your feet in this solution for few minutes. Make sure that you properly check your feet before soaking it in the solution of white vinegar as it stings the abrasions etc. present on the skin, as white vinegar could sting if there will be any abrasions, cuts etc. on the skin.
Lemons:
These carry acidic property which makes them antibacterial as well. In order to soak your feet in a lemon solution, dilute some drops of lemon in a water solution and soak your feet in the solution for few minutes. Take proper care of any cuts and abrasions present at it might cause burning sensation on your feet.
Tea Tree Oil:
Just rub some amount of tea tree oil on your foot and it will kill all the bacteria and fungus present on the foot. As it smells good so it will provide a soothing effect to your feet as well.

Coffee Foot Scrub Recipe

Ingredients

4 tablespoons of ground coffee (fresh is the best)
3 tablespoons of corn meal (or ground oatmeal)
3 tablespoons of sea salt or Epsom salt
3 tablespoons of Olive or Almond oil
2 drops of lavender oil (for relaxation) or 2 drops of peppermint (for an energy boost)

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients well
Scrub your feet in circular motion
Rinse off with warm water and pat dry
Finish off your foot care routine by giving yourself a relaxing foot massage with your favorite foot cream.

SPA RECIPE:OVERNIGHT FOOT MASQUE

1/4 cup Almonds
1/4 cup Dry Oatmeal
3 TB food grade Cocoa Butter
2 tablespoons Honey

Process almonds in a blender or coffee grinder until finely ground. Set aside. In the same blender, pulse your oatmeal until of the same consistency.  In a bowl, combine ground oatmeal, cocoa butter, honey & ground almonds. Rub into your clean feet, step into cotton socks, & leave on overnight. The next morning, remove the socks & rinse feet in cool water. Pat dry. I recommend you not remove the socks until you’re standing in the tub!
